There are a lot of ifs and time grows short.
he late spring scenario of a massive GOP win—in historic proportions analogous to 1938, 1994, or 2010—is said now to be “iffy.”
The Left boasts that it now has a chance at keeping the House, with even better odds for maintaining control over the Senate.
Polls are all over the place. Now they show generic Republican leads, now Democratic.
The general experience in polling is that they are more often conducted by left-leaning institutions and massaged to show Democratic “momentum.”
Since the polling meltdown of 2016—when most polls showed a Hillary Clinton Electoral College landslide—they have regained little credibility.
Current progressive heartthrob and spoiler Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) was polled at only 20 percent behind in her recent primary—only to be crushed in the end, losing by over 37 percent.
The corporate leftist media does its part by glorifying a now dynamic “Aviator Joe.”
Biden in cool sunglasses is now constructed into a swaggering “Top Gun” Tom Cruise-like figure, rather than a cognitively challenged 79-year-old.
Biden’s just passed reconciliation “Inflation Reduction Act,” according to most experts, will raise taxes even on the middle class and spur inflation. So, the media euphemistically renames it a “climate change bill.”
With a stroke of his pen before the midterms, Biden forgives $300 billion in student debt—without a care for the dutiful who paid their loans off or those who did not go to college but will now pay for those that did.
If inflation is running at 8.5 percent over last July’s prices, the White House giddily announces inflation is “zero” because it did not climb at 9.1 percent over 2021 prices—as it did in June.

Never put it past the Republicans to be capable of fumbling the ball at the one yard line.
VDH ping
Be sure to vote
Be sure to remind others
This debt forgiveness thing is going to push Latinos and blacks farther to the right. Most people know that a lot of these graduates have Ph.Ds in lesbian dance therapy and work at Starbucks because they’re unhireable.
Or being at the one yard line and running the other way and scoring a touchdown for the other team.
If they don’t flip both houses or, at least, flip the house in a HUGE way, I’m out of the states.
If the GOP fails to win both houses in Nov. then it is time for an America First Party to emerge. Death to the Neo Whig party!
The GOP/Whig party has to win in Nov. or become obsolete.
We need a MAGA House.
MAGA Senate is going to take much longer.
McConnell, Thune, Barrasso, Blunt, Ernst, Scott, Scott, Lee, Crapo, Grassley, Shelby, Murkowski, Sullivan, Boozman, Rubio, Risch, Young, Braun, Moran, Cassidy, Collins, Hyde-Smith, Daines, Fischer, Sasse, Burr, Tillis, Hoeven, Cramer, Portman, Inhofe, Lankford, Toomey, Grahamnesty, Rounds, Cornyn, Romney, Capito, Lummis, Wicker are all Bush League Republicans.
....I am not optimistic about this fall’s midterms....
remember - the democrat party has been known for generations as the evil party, and the republican party as the stupid party....the GOP may take back the House, but the Senate is another matter...may even lose seats....
Does it matter? I’m so sick and tired of GOP promises to “Do Things”. They say, just elect us, just trust us, etc. I vote for them not because I believe their “Promises”, I vote for them because I know for a fact that Democrats will SCREW America at every turn. Democrats outright brag about screwing America.
Hey GOP, go find your BALLS, and grow a SPINE then take the fight to Democrats. They are like the schoolyard bully, ONE punch to the face and they will run away crying. Throw the damn punch already.
Given the state of the country, how is it even possible that there is a close contest?! I find it very difficult to believe that there are enough stupid/communist Americans that they’ll vote D no matter what. Then again, Canada isn’t any better.....even worse.
The vote defeating any democrat must be a cheney-like blowout to defeat the cheat.
Nancy and the Dems seem awful calm and cool about their future.
Bfl
The house will be a blood bath for Democrats...
The Senate? Was never likely to be a bloodbath, but GOP certainly should have taken the majority... now I’m not so sure...
OZ IMHO pretty much handed PA to the Dems... so GOP has to pick up 1 somewhere just to stay at 50/50 now...
Looking at the states in play, GA and AZ are the most likely GOP pick ups.. Possibly NH... Other states they could pick up if this election is nationalized and a referendum on Biden and the Damage he has done to the D brand... etc...
If OZ does by some miracle pull off PA, look for Dems to just be abjectly slaughtered everywhere electorially.. up and down the ballot... because if that happens the vote is purely about a rejection of the Dem Brand as a whole
Earlier this year I would have said the fall election will be nationalized and become a complete repudiation of the D brand as a whole... now, I’m not so sure.. I still expect big GOP wins, but a lot of dumb self inflicted wounds by the GOP may temper that
Trump wing in House GOP set to grow

House Republicans are not only forecast to win control of the lower chamber in November’s midterm elections, they’re also poised to bring with them a roster of new arrivals who have embraced the former president
A number of Trump loyalists have bumped off more moderate Republicans in the summer primaries — a list that grew longer on Tuesday with conservative victories in Florida and New York — while a number of other centrists are stepping into retirement.
The combination foreshadows a power shift in the House GOP that has the potential to complicate any bipartisan compromise with President Biden, while creating headaches for Republican leaders who will face pressure to demonstrate their governing chops in a new majority.
“I believe that [House Minority Leader] Kevin McCarthy [Calif.] would have a rough time of it,” said David Mayhew, a political scientist at Yale University.
Joe Kent, a former Green Beret, defeated pro-impeachment Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in a Washington GOP primary earlier this month with the help of an endorsement from Trump. Running as an “America First” Republican, he railed against the “establishment” and publicly said that McCarthy, the House GOP leader, should not be Speaker.
And he’s hardly alone.

‘This debt forgiveness thing is going to push Latinos and blacks farther to the right.’
not likely; too easy to blame whites for everything, they’ll never give up that card...
Or tossing the ball backwards as they are crossing the goal line.
Max 20 in the House.
