My Ranch Gun is a .44 Mag Ruger Black Hawk with a 7 inch bbl.
One round will drop a moose or a bear, with a bainchi cross draw holster I can also wear as a shoulder rig. But I only have to bring it on the land during fall wild apple season. So far havn’t had to use it, those critters have aways went the other way.
But I’ve always wanted a Colt 45 but I am going to look at the Ubertis now for sure.
Just a semi funny story; I took my son to Field and Stream (before they went woke) and told him he could pick any gun he wanted with a budget of $700. I wanted him to get an AR. We walked out with a Ruger Vaquero .45. Very nice gun. You might want to check them out.
