Ioane ‘John’ King, one of the prominent cast members of the Starz drama Spartacus, has died at age 49 of adenocarcinoma cancer, which spread to his pancreas and other organs.
He announced his condition in January. No information on where he died was available.

King’s death is the second to strike the Spartacus cast. Costar Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2010 and died 18 months later at age 39.

Wow! I had adenocarcinoma in 2017. It is the 2nd most cancer from smoking. I underwent radiation and chemo therapy from June - December of 2017.
I was just released by my oncologist only a few weeks ago. He said that it hasn’t returned in five years and would never return.
Mine was caught early, I suppose. This guy must have had advanced adenocarcinoma.
Not recently. Since he’s not running for the top job and probably never will again. Booker is back to just being a politician. Maybe he could find another Damsel in distress to save during a snowstorm. He used to do things like that.

Adenocarcinoma is stupidly complex. Even in its wiki, it takes three large paragraphs to *try* and describe it.
I suspect it’s one of those “By the time you realize it’s out to get you, it’s got you” types of cancer. Especially after it moved to the pancreas.
Watched the series from the beginning, and after Andy Whitfield passed, wondered if they would continue airing it. It took a while to get used to Liam McIntyre in the lead role. There were several other actors in the series that I've seen in other programs over the years, and enjoy their acting: Manu Bennett, Dustin Clare, Peter Mensah, and John Hannah.
