Liz Cheney was roundly defeated at the polls on Tuesday evening, a welcome retribution for her active participation in the kangaroo court known as the January 6th Committee hearings. During her concession speech, she metaphorically wrapped herself in the American Flag, proudly proclaiming that she stands on the side of Democracy. But, as Mark points out, she's always been a never-Trumper. And her claims of standing for Democracy are nothing but lies.

And she thinks she can be president someday, because she lost an election, and Lincoln had lost an election before he won the presidency?
Who the heck would vote for Liz for president? The MSNBC and liberal media crowd love her because she bashes Trump, so she’s a favorite Republican of theirs. But they would never vote for her in an election. And she’s burned her bridges with the vast majority of Republican/conservative voters, so how the heck could she survive the gauntlet of Republican primaries?
And if she ran for president as a 3rd party or independent, how many votes realistically would she get???

There has to be a better term than "defeated" to describe what happened last Tuesday. "Beat like a rented mule" is closer. 73% of the vote to 29% in two years - this is sending a message in the sense that engraving it on a granite slab and nailing it to her forehead with a railroad spike is.
The ironic part of this two-year blast of insensate hatred is that it helped sustain and nurture Trump. I do believe that if Liz knew it was a kamikaze attack to the degree that it was, she'd still have done it. That's a pretty good working definition of insanity.
