We live on a small farm. It has a well and a pond. A few years ago we had a drought and the level of the pond dropped quite a bit. Our daughter suggested that we run a hose from our well to the pond. We still tease her about that and we did explain the whole theory of water table. And BTW, she was in her thirties when she made that suggestion.

The water in the hose is probably coming from Lake Mead, but don't tell her.
She could easily raise the level by two inches by jumping in, but please don't tell her that either. I am concerned about the wildlife and everyone else who will use that water.

Slightly off topic but last week I posted a story from a news source about the bodies discovered in Lake Mead, and after less than a minute the thread disappeared....no explanation no nothing. Just gone.
