What are the chances of the new bunch of souped up golf carts they call EVs will be considered classics in the future?
Estimated price: $9 million to $12 million
My thoughts too. The classic cars from 60 years ago can all be worked on, modified and maintained by their owners.
60 years from now today's cars will be just worthless piles of junk filled with obsolete electronics and chips that will be nonexistent.
As a side note, the world's largest car show kicks off today in S.E. Michigan. The Woodard Dream Cruise, 16 miles of classic cars lining Woodard Ave. from Detroit to Pontiac.......
1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe
Theses car are only worth it . Because the rest of them are worthless piles of rusted junk.
If the everybody kept their so called classics in perfect shape they would not be worth much.

My father had alzheimers. On his last visit to Hershey car show with his sons he had to be watched carefully that he not wander off. We walked into one car display, and dad said, Son, you will never see a car like that again in your life. The owner soon walked over, and in discussion, told us his was the only one in the world he knew to exist, and only several were ever made. My dad knew cars. Did restoration upholster for about 65 years.
Nice story about your Dad.
Thanks for posting it.

The evs will have long been past spontaneously combusting in someone’s garage.......the only legacy those infernal contraptions will leave is one of death and destruction......not to mention the earth having been strip mined in search of those so much sought after rare earth materials.
I want a 1963 Chevy Corvette split window coupe.
Thanks in advance.
That looks a bit too “Seig,Heil” to me!
Just don't have Wayne Carini talk you into auctioning off your car. Never goes well.

Very few SLR’s were made and they had a unique twin cam engine design with desmodronic valve actuation. Difficult to adjust, it would take two experienced mechanics a full day to adjust the valves...
Every single one of those cars was built by WHITE MEN. They were invented, created, owned, raced, and driven by WHITE MEN.
Anybody buying one is guilty of racism.
Can you find some car museums to which you can take your dad?
It would be another memorable experience.
A lot of them were limited production or hand built. When there are two or ten of something in the whole world, they can get extremely valuable.
