Host of the Making Sense podcast and NY Times best-seller Sam Harris was on the latest episode of TRIGGERnometry yesterday when he made a series of disturbing remarks. The left leaning philosopher openly supported the dissemination of disinformation that we were subjected to prior to the 2020 election regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop. Meanwhile, right-leaning mainstream news sources such as New York Post were literally being suspended and banned on social media platforms for disseminating the truth.

This is a big time left leaning influencer admitting to supporting conspiracy theories if it means achieving their desired outcome, regardless of whether or not the conspiracy is true, and seemingly even if they know it not to be true.

If you haven’t seen or heard of Harris before, check out YouTube videos. Know thy enemy. Also check out Jordon Peterson - Sam Harris debates - very thought provoking and also a demonstration the way debates should be conducted.
I’ll have to look. I’ve seen some of Peterson. He definitely seems to be genuine. Harris, based on what he said, in my mind would cast doubt on anything he might espouse (the phrase “debating in bad faith” comes to mind), unless he is consistent elsewhere. At the very least Harris is honest enough in this specific scenario to admit what a lot of Lefties won’t, at least willingly.

He presents himself as a Public Intellectual.
Does he talk about how a group of Angry Parents chased him out of the park for filming the little boys playing soccer with a blanket over his lap in 90 degree heat??
Sam is a bright guy, but he’s honest about his political stance re: Trump and his supporters. He’s been consistent, and was never one to pull his punches, which does not endear him to the establishment grifters. And it’s not at all surprising to hear him blurt out his honest beliefs in this context. I disagree with him on just about everything, but at least he’s clear about what he believes.
He honestly believes that the Trump movement is dangerous and authoritarian, in spite of all evidence to the contrary, and he says so whenever given the opportunity, which, IMHO is a good thing. At least Sam states his position clearly, a rare thing in todays’ society.
I doubt very much that Jordan P. is what any of us would call a “conservative”, either, though he’s certainly caricatured as such in the media. His podcast is worth listening to, though he’s clearly still recovering from his health issues, and doesn’t seem to have half the energy he had before.

Sam Harris isn’t just some nobody so this is significant. Of course it really just confirms what’s obvious, namely that most liberals are fine with all the spying and lying against Trump because after all Orange Man Bad. Still it’s good to have this to point to show it’s not just some fringe perspective. I’m really kind of surprised that he’d slip up like this and say the quiet part out loud. I wish more on the left were so uncareful so that their true nature would be better known.
