Reminds me of the OJ trial. White lawyers felt he was guilty but would get off. Blacks knew he was set up. No in-between.

I think a lot of blacks knew OJ was guilty but didn't want to see a black cultural hero "brought down by the man". Also, many of them probably believed "the bitch had it comin'".
