When 30 FBI agents showed up at Mar-a-Lago to cart off boxes of documents, it was an authorized, legitimate and justified procedure to retrieve national security secrets being illegally kept there.
Or it was an unprecedented regime raid on the home and office of the foremost political rival of President Joe Biden that called to mind a "Third World country," the East German Stasi, the KGB or the Gestapo.
And Jan. 6, 2021?
That was a riot, a disgraceful breach of the Capitol, involving assaults on Capitol cops, actions that deserved to be and are being punished.
No, it was more than that. Far more. It was an "insurrection," a "fascist coup," an act of treason led by far-right extremists to abort the transfer of power from the winner of the election of 2020 to the loser. It ranks right up there with the 1814 burning of the Capitol by the British.
Such is the magnitude of the divide in America, a divide that extends far beyond our clashing views of Jan. 6 and the Mar-a-Lago raid.
Consider abortion. Before the 1960s, abortion was almost universally regarded as a shameful and criminal act. Doctors who performed abortions were disgraced and sometimes sent to prison.
But after the Dobbs decision by the Supreme Court declared that Roe v. Wade in 1973 was wrongly decided, restoration of women's right to an abortion is being championed by half the nation.
The other half of America yet believes abortion involves the killing of an unborn innocent child.

A Blue State country called 'PUS' - Progressive United States and a red country called CUS - Conservative United States.
Both negotiated countries can 'HAVE IT ALL' Both sides can be happy and live in communities of like minded people.
They (PUS - Progressive United States) can have all the illegals they want. They can have abortion up until an hour AFTER birth in case the kid is ugly.
They can have trans sex taught to kids in kindergarten...
They can have ALL citizens disarmed on DAY ONE of the agreement AS THE INK IS DRYING.
Their FBI can double as a secret police unit and their DOJ can favor one side over the other. And icing on the cake?
They can stop inflation by SPENDING AND PRINTING MORE MONEY. And since PUS gets ALL the white liberal 'elites' they can also redistribute wealth... THEY CAN HAVE IT ALL.
Negotiate two countries - make everyone happy.

The problem that I hear over and over is what to do about Medicare and Social Security.
It comes together again when we have no choice. Kind of like a post-war situation. The scary part is, you have to have a war first. And I’m in one that forces people’s hands like an actual shooting war. That’s one of the reasons I moved to the sticks. I can watch it from afar, hopefully.

I grew up in Milwaukee. It really was a wonderful place to be a kid in the 60’s. It worse than awful, now. No Republican Mayor since 1906. Yikes! Plus, they’ve had a few card-carrying Socialists as Mayors, too. No, I mean it. Politically-registered members of the Socialist Party.
And no one sees any of that History as being the root of any of Milwaukee’s current problems! Ugh!

When was the last time we came together? After 9/11. How long did that last? It shows how dysfunctional things are when only an outrage such as that brings us together.

I don’t wish it to come together again. I would rather we go to a system where populations centers become their own entities. They can have 2 Senators, and as many Congressmen as they are eligible to have. The parts of States outside of the population centers will then be separate States, with 2 Senators and requisite Congressmen. Let them build up, not out and live with the consequences, but LEAVE Conservative America alone. If they don’t like it, become a separate nation, but know that the power and water generated elsewhere is not theirs.
You’re correct. In the long run it would be better to split.
But then Democrat controlled areas would become urban sewers and would demand everyone else do the same.

I love WW, on Rush and through his writings. I disagreed with him on free trade, but as it is defined it is not free. When another country can use slaves to build products cheaper than the US, manufacturing moves out of the country. That weakens the country we are supposed to care about, and its residents. It benefits the multi nationals, and the CCP..or others.
On this separation, I would wholeheartedly support it. Instead of melding his two former States into one though, why not just have the Nation of Texas, and they are allied in certain ways with Louisiana. If the agreement is broken, they simply walk away from each other.
Florida, Alabama, Mississipi, Missouri, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, N Dakota, S Dakota, Iowa, Kentucky, W Virginia, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, parts of N Caroline, GA, Idaho, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Alaska, Invite pieces of CA and Nevada in too.
Now we are cooking with gas and coal.
If you configure the breaking up, the countries left in the Union, would be weak and dependent on foreigners to fight. Good luck finding soldiers in CA, NYC or Boston. It would be more likely that most of California and New york will want to be gone also.
That is way back when. For example, New Mexico and Colorado are almost one party states now. Hard socialist.
