People need to think before taking dogs out in hot weather. Just walking a dog on pavement in extreme heat is bad for them.

Good point. In AZ, the pavement hits 150 degrees and more. My pup burned her feet just a couple of times before she learned not to go on the black top. She wears boots if we go out but to your point, it’s too hot most of the time. If we dont walk by 8AM, forget it.

In the winter around here, we have to be careful to not let the pups walk on the road without their booties on, due to road salt. They can be very sensitive to that.
