Videos from the scene show a group of people apparently fighting in the middle of Jeffery Boulevard. A car speeds down the wrong side of the road, then appears to steer slightly to avoid one group of people before plowing into the second group. The driver did not stop.

The filmmakers used a storefront in the South Chicago community area (79th Street and Exchange Avenue) that was once a laundromat to build the set for Calvin’s barbershop, and the set was duplicated on a soundstage.

Fight at night in the middle of an urban street and get hit by possibly impaired driver going too fast.

When I was in grammar school it came on late at night. I stayed up late one night after the folks had gone to be cause I wanted to see a city with nekkid folks. I was deeply disapernted.
A lot of shoes were flying around there.
Owww! Fighting in the street at 5 AM. The person in the car knew not to stop - they floored it. Especially in that neighborhood.
I’ve been soooo tempted to do this.
The individuals playing in the street failed to yield the right of way. The car driver was speeding. Ticket all of them.

In many neighborhoods, stopping for any reason could get you killed.
I'm following this story on Twitter and someone posts a video from last year where a group of blacks in Chicago drag a Puerto Rican couple out of their car and shoot them dead on the ground.
Well, that’s one way to break up a fight.
