he lead investigator in the House of Representatives committee on the Trump Russia hoax says he knows why the FBI raided former president Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, and it didn’t have anything to do with scary-sounding “classified documents relating to nuclear weapons,” as the DOJ got The Washington Post to spread on its behalf.
Kash Patel believes something more is afoot than a beef between Trump, the General Services Administration (GSA), and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
The former federal national security prosecutor and Trump Administration Chief of Staff for the Department of Defense believes the FBI raided Trump’s resort to seek and destroy any documents related to the Trump-Russia hoax — Russiagate — that Trump had previously declassified back in 2020 and 2021.
The former federal prosecutor told Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum that Donald Trump issued “sweeping declassification orders” in 2020 and 2021, including the Russiagate and Hillary Clinton email investigation documents.
Patel says he believes the FBI wants to scrub all of the documents approving the Hillary Clinton election scam about Trump being a Russian secret agent. The FBI, Department of Justice, Perkins Coie law firm, Fusion GPS, and CIA knew the Russiagate narrative was a Hillary Clinton-approved hoax but put their offices in the service of pushing it and “investigating” it to keep Trump out of the White House. Now they’re back to do it again in 2024.
On his Truth Social account, Patel wrote, “DOJ and FBI – and vindictive librarians at NARA – continue to perpetuate the Russia hoax by ‘seizing’ documents that President Trump declassified and the American people need to see. … Bottom line, they never want you to see their corrupt Russia Gate documents and will use any and all power to keep them from the American people.”

“I’ll bet he (or a trusted ally) has copies.”
The day he declassified everything he should’ve published everything himself. He was waiting for DOJ to do it — and they never would do that.
Big mistake. Huge.
Obviously I have no experience of US federal search warrants, but given the fact that they asked to be allowed to search for every kind of document (or item) that PDJT had been in contact with during his whole presidency, is there any other way to characterize it?
I hope President Trump made back-up copies and has them stashed somewhere safe.
Please, see my post #36 with links or HotTabasco #78.
In short, PDJT declassified the documents but Bill Barr appointed Durham special investigator, which made the documents part of an ongoing (very slow) federal investigation and can not therefore be made public.
Your guess if that was intentional or not.
I subsequently read that, but that debunks the idea that the FIBs were trying to suppress documents that would incriminate their masters. If Durham already has those documents, there is no way that rifling through Melania’s bras and panties would suppress anything. If Trump is suing them, his lawyer has those documents, too.
The most this despicable raid could do is intimidate Trump. And we know the man. He doesn’t do being intimidated. Certainly not by these low life errand boys. Of course, they might have planted something.
Looks to me that it’s the DOJ that’s doing the obstructing by slow walking. They’ve been doing it for years now. It’s not Trump. This raid was part of the DOJ obstruction and cover-up.
Thank you for getting to the point without a lot of “breaking!, bombshell!, must see/hear/watch this 29 minute video after three ads!, TURN UP YOUR VOLUME “.
He should have. IF he didn’t, then that was DUMB!
Durham has to have them. He’s got the security clearance, and he’s a top lawyer. How do you go to trial without full knowledge of the case.
The guy David, on X22report still says Durham is legit and is working to expose the deep state.
Upon close inspection it occurs to me that that just might be a joke. Seriously.
Nuh-uh. My wife’s best friend’s cousin has a brother-in-law whose silly second ex-wife removed a tag, and the fire department showed up before the house burnt down!
I am sure he does, but as Sundance @ ConservativeTreeHouse has written many times, how do you prosecute this case without showing that Mueller and DOJ was involved in the Russia Hoax?
Unless you do not want to win the case you cannot. And therefore the only people going to be prosecuted will be very peripheral individuals such as Klinesmith (convicted and given a very light slap on the wrist) or some of HRC’s lawyers (acquitted).
I am sorry; Durham, has had the case for about two years now, and not much is happening. Don’t think we will see anything prior 2024.
bkmk
No. No other way to describe it.
Interesting because I read and watch a lot of true crime, and it seems the warrants have to be ridiculously targeted and specific as to what they’re looking for before a judge will sign them. And if they happen to stumble on to something incriminating that isn’t listed in the warrant, they can’t take it.
“Vague” = anything and everything, IMO. A free-for-all wilding.
I hope that’s not the case but actually wouldn’t be surprised if true. In a weird way Durham reminds me of John Bolton with the stern look and both are likely neo cons.
I partially agree. I think this operation might be a two-fer operation carried out on two fronts -- criminally charge Trump for mishandling classified docs and also reclassify and retrieve docs that expose dem corruption, e.g.. Russiagate. The classified docs angle is misdirection but also useful in its own right to damage Trump politically.
Even if the dems don't ultimately prevail I don't think they see much downside in criminally charging Trump. They have full cover by the MSM.
The misdirection reminds me of the magic trick scene in Mission Impossible with the disk. "While I was up here ... you were down there".

“Upon close inspection it occurs to me that that just might be a joke. Seriously.”
Seriously, it perpetuates a stupid myth.
You left out the so-called ‘media’ aka their propaganda organs.
