We watch Adam 12 a lot. Back when cops really DID “protect and serve”. Bad acting, but good story lines, thanks to Jack Webb. Plus, both actors are hunks.

Bad acting, but good story lines, thanks to Jack Webb.The relatively "flat" acting was part of the charm - something that Webb insisted upon. It was a "police procedural," after all. I never saw a poor acting performance on Dragnet.
