If I was to bet on this, I'd say YES -- this has all the makings of an epic Trump troll.

Just go back and remember this comical episode from the 2016 campaign, folks:

Fox News "John Miller" Report

The entire clip is worth watching, but the "punch line" starts at about the 4:20 mark. You can even hear other Fox News staff laughing in the background as that segment of the clip unfolds.

Notice how inconsequential that story was, and how non-serious the subject matter was. Donald Trump sat on that tape for 25 years before it made its way out into the national media.

TWENTY.

Amazing post—I never knew about the 25 year old tape troll.

To summarize for those who want to decide whether to click on it or not—it appears that candidate Trump wanted to keep his name in the news so he leaked a twenty five year old tape of himself (on minor innocuous stuff) to get “buzz” at that particular moment in the news cycle.

That suggests an in depth understanding of how to troll mass media.
