I was definitely thinking about bugs being planted. Do they have ways of doing it that would be very hard to find? What kind of private entity would be good at locating them?

It may well not matter that they kept Trump's attorneys out on the sidewalk and turned off surveillance cameras. Even if only a corrupt judge would approve such a search and then take into evidence the results of such search the collateral damage could be enormous. The end game is to keep Trump off the ballot; they probably fear he has the assets yet in place to blow their game.
