Decisions can be gaged by how long it takes to make a decision. Yes, some of us make split second bad decisions, but in the case of this 37 year old ICU nurse, it took thought over more than a split second to drive that car 100 mph down an LA street.
At any moment, she could have thought, “What the heck am I doing?” and slowed that car down and brought it to a stop. She made a bad decision and continued to make that bad decision for far more than a split second.
Her actions are that LA street were no different than that of a mass shooter.
I think she might have fallen asleep while driving. I am betting that is what happened.
She fell asleep and then leaned forward and put weight on the pedal.
Unless she was in an alternate mindset where she thought she was on an empty highway, until we hear more, I’m thinking that is probably what happened.
