Is it just me, or is this one of the worst ever written articles? Are they hiring high school kids for journalism these days?

You’d think they’d be hiring better, considering that the average want ad is usually overloaded with about six dozen different requirements.
And also, when somebody goes into an entry level journalism job, a portfolio of previous work is usually required. So for Heaven’s sake, are the people who examine these portfolios actually able to read?
