BRILLIANT!
.
Guard them kids.
Have the Tools to use.
Yep. I’m betting these leftist teachers run away and shirk their promise. Having the weapon is one thing. The nerve to use it is something else.
I call BS! The sheriff dept is in charge of the safes! So if there is an emergency, help is only 20 minutes away.....MINIMUM! And when they FINALLY arrive, will they hide behind trees until the crisis is past? More meaningless BS!
What a bold and proactive plan 👍🏻
Practice too
help is only 20 minutes away.....

Sometimes might be shorter. Especially if there
is a McDonalds or similar across the street.
Dunkin’ Donuts, fer sure!
BRILLIANT!!!!
The .223 round has a low overpenetration risk. It's less likely to fly through drywall and kill someone in the next room than common handgun rounds of buckshot. The AR-15 is a light, nimble weapon with little recoil. Easy to handle, aim, and shoot with minimal training.
It really is the ideal weapon for any defensive situation.
handgun rounds or buckshot
I like it.
Very smart, I’d only add the other gear you would want like shields, a few vests, helmets, battering ram, etc.
Rather than an AR 15, I would go for a pump or auto 12 gauge shotgun loaded with heave shot, say Number 5 to 2 for indoor defense.
By the law, an AR15 pistol can be concealed, but an AR15 SBR (short barreled rifle) cannot. Would you prefer either of these to an AR15 rifle?
Didn’t say I think this method is the best. Only that staff ought to be able to use the tools.
MO has trained and armed staff at public school if the district consents....
Not sure which law you refer to, here in MO a concealable weapon is any firearm with a barrel shorter than 16”. So, it varies.
To your question, a 10-15” AR pistol, a 10-15” AR SBR and a16+” AR carbine in the same caliber all have about the capability at CQB ranges and situations (less than 100m).
I wouldn’t carry my AR pistol as a concealed firearm, but I do hunt with one (450 bushmaster 10.5” pistol) carried openly, but I would carry a 556 SBR or carbine openly for defense or hunting with proper bullets.
Most of the Constitutional Carry states will probably go that way and school shootings will be limited to the Left states.
