Police officers in Wisconsin responded to an unusual emergency call about a young raccoon who got its head stuck in a mayonnaise jar.

With some patience, teamwork and creativity, the Middleton Police Department officers were able to free the little rascal from the jar.

The officers warned him to obey curfew and sent him on his way.

The only good raccoon is a dead raccoon. I have fought several expensive roofing battles with them. Pure hatred for them.

We raise Plotts, too. Right now we own two; our Walker dogs do double-duty for coon and bear. Beau is a HUGE black bear hunter; got the biggest black bear in Wisconsin in 2014. 480 pounds!

Right now we are raising/training three litter mates that a friend picked up in Maryland, but they are a TN bloodline. They’re close to a year old, now. All three have been under a bear, but they’re still not completely sure of what they’re doing. ;)

The owner is coming here from SD to hunt them with Beau in a few weeks. (It’s still training season; bear season opens here over the Labor Day weekend. We have a cabin in far-northern Wisconsin; they hunt the two national forests up there.) She originally bought them for her son who was supposed to be leaving the Air Force, but he had a critical MOS, so he got his dream posts; 1 year in South Korea, then three years in Japan, so, so much for that! Beau will keep the best of the three and she’s taking the other two home for a pampered house-pet life. :)

It’s hard to beat a Plott for bear and hog (boar) hunting...I hunted through the ‘70’s till mid ‘90’s....When we hunted Canada, we went to Haliburton, Ont. in the fall and to Vermilion Bay, Ont. in the spring...
