I always laugh at such denigrations. You know, the same people who say “Air Farce” or “Chair Force.” Against a “well-mounted” enemy, front line troops (and God bless them) would be wiped out in short order if there were no “REMFs” or Air Force. For example, who the @#$% do they think provided them with their materiel? Who the @#$% do they think supply them and keep them supplied? Who do they think flies in to attack the enemy who has them pinned down and surrounded? That pilot is just a guy standing around staring at his boots if not for the people behind him trained him, who maintain his aircraft, load its ordnance, etc.
All members and units and branches of the US armed forces are worthy, and all contribute to the overall mission of protecting and defending the United States. If they are not worthy, then bust them and kick them out.
I wonder how many they’ll do today?
