I have liberals friends online who are celebrating that gas is “down to” $3.85 here. Of course, they conveniently leave out the fact it was $1.67 two years ago under Trump.

I work in “lefty NJ”——they said to me “wow, I got gas for $4.01 per gallon——” I replied “Is gas going down because of Putin? It’s still double what it was 2 years ago...”

Usually followed by silence and the death stare.

I find it harder and harder to use those two words together, liberal and friend. Friends don't vote for things that screw friends over. Friends don't support divisiveness that impacts all around them. Friends don't look down their noses at people like you.

What are they really celebrating though? The marginal lowering in price of an evil substance that is destroying the planet? Or the perception they anticipate the marginal lowering in price will have on midterms?
