Oil dropping along with gas----will Americans continue their "stupid amnesia"?
Me ^ | 8/4/2022 | Me

Just using Marketwatch as a link for oil pricing. But do you believe if gas goes to $3.25 per gallon (or so) idiots will all of the sudden forget about "recession, empty shelves, high prices, inflation, CRT, lockdowns" etc? Will they go back to the "all is normal except global warming and Abortion" so vote BLUE?

I have lost all confidence in Americans---even "middle of the road Republicans". Thoughts?

I have liberals friends online who are celebrating that gas is “down to” $3.85 here. Of course, they conveniently leave out the fact it was $1.67 two years ago under Trump.

I work in “lefty NJ”——they said to me “wow, I got gas for $4.01 per gallon——” I replied “Is gas going down because of Putin? It’s still double what it was 2 years ago...”

Usually followed by silence and the death stare.

Some more time needs to go by before a conclusion can be made, IMO. Americans got hit by the big ramp in oil and now it’s seemingly backing off. But forget not that it could pick up again on perceived demand as the inflation story recedes. And that is very probable, as the crazy inflation numbers, being year over year, cannot continue indefinitely. Gasoline prices cannot be ignored, every person sees it/them every day. Supermarket prices are a little more muted even though they are very noticeably higher. But I take your point, gasoline got to “holy crap” but seemingly have retreated some to “not so bad”. It’s a form of shock therapy.

One trip to the grocery store is a good reminder of how bad things are. 3.25 gas is not enough to make a difference to make people “forget.

It’s a global economic contraction reducing global oil demamd lowering pressurw on the price. Biden’s maneuvers had 100% nothing to do with it.

if gas goes to $3.25 per gallon

The Biden recession may push prices to the lower 4 dollar range, I doubt 3.25.

I find it harder and harder to use those two words together, liberal and friend. Friends don't vote for things that screw friends over. Friends don't support divisiveness that impacts all around them. Friends don't look down their noses at people like you.

Do bears chit in the woods? OF COURSE the sheeple will forget! Do we honestly really believed the Democrats were just gonna kick back and let a red wave happen? I’ll say it again and again until I’m blue in the face the Democrats will probably squeak out victories in both chambers. Pisses me off to say it but they know how to strategize how to plan how to encourage their base etc. etc. what do we have on our side BACKSTABBING POS RINOS fighting with the base hating Trump and the MAGA candidates that don’t belong to the establishment etc. I never see this type of infighting among the dirty evil rats ...they usually unify behind each other!

Sheep have innate characteristics...

I can remember being outraged when gas-per-gallon went from $0.11 to $0.19 to $0.29...

Gas is $3.85 around here. People in my office are sooo happy. Two years ago it was $2.00. Biden is a hero. We’re saved!! AND, no more mean tweets!! Bonus!

If you can afford to live in San Jaun Capistrano don’t complain.

I am with you in regards to a low opinion of the American public.

I think much of the public is uninformed, and uninterested. They will forget, and vote Dem because the media tells them that’s what smart, virtuous people do.
