In addition, the House is far too small and our reps too distant and too wedded to whatever is trendy in DC. Expand it to about 3,000 seats and repeal the 17th Amendment. Those changes plus independence for the Big Blue Ghettoes will stave off the crisis for a fe decades.

I’m sorry. This is asinine. It makes no sense whatsoever to put Idaho, Utah, Montana etc in “Left America” while you have NY/NJ/CT in “Right America.”
You’d probably have to split the country into 4 or 5 to come up with a division that had any sort of reasonable basis to it.
Walling in the blue cities would be a great idea. If Atlanta and Augusta was walled in then crime in Georgia would be greatly reduced. I’m sure that is the case in many states that are conservative outside the big cities. Unfortunately, Atlanta is the city in which the laws are made that effect all of us, and those that make the laws seldom travel outside 285 so have no idea what the voters actually think or want.

Except that probably wouldn’t be as easy as you might surmise. The Blue side has gangs and they’re armed. All the Deep State would have to do is promise them all the Red sides stuff (plus money and/or drugs) if they kill them, and turn them loose.
I think the fault lines will largely or entirely divide the states along states that have abortion laws vs those who want to kill babies.

As for Social Security, if your mom, dad or SSI/SSD dependent sibling or child draws on the system, you pay.

Redmerica: We will take the teaching of reading, American and world history, writing, logic, math, typing, technology, literature, science, biology, music, cooking, honesty, good manners, the classics, and the death toll from socialism and communism.
Bluemerica: They can reap the rewards of CRT, DEI, drag queen story hours, birthing people, chestfeeding, Maya Angelou poetry classes, vagina-worship, how to tear down statues, women's studies, black studies, socialism studies, how to protest but not work, screaming at the sky, and violent revolution.
