When we lived in Chicago, we always booked Caribbean cruises in January. It was great.
And during last 10 months, we did 5 Caribbean cruises, and were indeed treated like long lost royalty, since ships were barely half full. Do not ever remember anything but full ships and long lines before. And prices were ridiculously low due to lack of customers. All in all amazing value. Had to show proof of full vaccination, which kept all the unvaxxed out. Never heard of any outbreaks or witnessed sick people. With ships half full there was lots of elbow room for social distancing.
