No, don’t boil them, simmer them. Slow cooking almost any kind of meat makes it better, but you have to be careful about how you do it, because boiling almost anything for 30 minutes will just turn it to mush.
Also if you are simmering meat, a lot of the seasoning in the meat can leech out into the water. But if the water is thoroughly salted already, then it cannot absorb much more salt from the meat, so you won’t lose that flavor.
