One Guy loves him some long sentences, that’s for sure. Short and medium sized sentences have their place too, and for mist purposes should predominate. But life without long sentences? That would be a brutal penance.

But you have to remember the contrast between GW Bush and his predecessor Bill Clinton. With Clinton, you heard exactly what he said, but you never knew what he meant. “It depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is.”
With Bush, you sometimes didn’t understand what he said, but you knew exactly what he meant.
