It was 2:47am on Sunday when 80-year-old business owner Craig Cope saw a group of young hooded men entered his California liquor store holding rifles.
But the store owner wasn't defenseless. Cope had a shotgun hidden out of sight, waiting as the would-be robbers approached Norco Market & Liquor in the 800 block of Sixth Street.
Video shows a 23-year-old male holding a long gun and creeping into the liquor store.
Four suspects armed with guns were waiting outside, planning to rob the store while wearing facial coverings, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
When the man approaches, Cope reaches for his shotgun and fires straight into the approaching robber.
