The suspect in multiple stabbings on the Apple River faces homicide charges in the death of a teen and wounding of four others July 30 was portrayed in a criminal complaint as both assailant and victim.
Nicolae Miu, 52, of Prior Lake,Minnesota was arraigned in St. Croix County Circuit Court, Monday on one count of first-degree intentional homicide and four counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide...
...According to Schaeppi’s interview with the suspect’s wife, Sondra Dee Miu, she and her husband were part of a group of friends who had been tubing on the Apple River when a member of the party lost their cell phone.
The suspect, Nicolae, volunteered to go back up river to look for the lost phone.
Wearing goggles and a snorkel, he made several attempts to find the missing phone in an area of the river by a bridge. She noted there was a group of male tubers in the vicinity of her husband.
According to Sondra, at some point, that group of guys, “got off their tubes and started hitting Nicolae.”
Nicolae told Sondra another group of people were calling him a pedophile and attacked him...

Ever since Biden took over and the RATS defunded the police, a lot of suspects have become the victims and the cops are the ones being used as witnesses for the suspect “victims” although they weren’t there at the time of the incident. This sounds like a “mass stabbing” to me and the Hollowoody celebrity RATS haven’t even mentioned starting a crisis push to ban assault knives.
This is a VERY weird story, and the so-called “witnesses” seem to be straight-up lying.
What a crazy story. Reading the various accounts of the incident is headache-inducing.
I suspect heavy alcohol or drug involvement on the part of some or all of the tubers.

They used to keep big garbage containers painted as targets along the shore to throw your beer cans into as you float by.

None of the victims or bystanders were reported as armed and there is no evidence so far of them using rocks or branches to attack the assailant. Verbal and or physical provocations maybe, but nothing that would seem to remotely justify the attack as self defense. None the less it will take time to sort out the evidence and a jury will have to make a determination of guilt.

This story has a very weird twist to it. A phone is "lost"... in a RIVER!! ... and he is going to go up the river where there are lots and lots of girls in bikinis with a snorkel and GOOGLES er I mean goggles on and "LOOK" for a phone. Something really is whacked out that a guy would do that. It sure smells like the guy was up to no good.
I think the town put a stop to this a while back, but this party river also had a beads for boobs thing going on for some time.
It was a family spot when I was young. But then again, that long ago, most everywhere was a safe family spot.
