Owning a private jet is one of those far-fetched luxuries the average person can only dream about during a five-hour domestic flight cramped up in economy class.
For the uber-wealthy, a private jet is not just a luxury, but it can also be a pretty lucrative business. Celebrities can enjoy traveling anywhere on a moment’s notice, and when they themselves aren’t in the air, they can rent the jet out for others to use.
Experts estimate that an hour of flight time aboard a private jet introduces about two tonnes (also known as metric tons) of carbon dioxide into the air, meaning Jenner’s flight could’ve produced about a half tonne, or 500 kilograms, of CO2 during its brief flight. The average person, meanwhile, produces around 8 tonnes of CO2 — per year.

CO2 is Brawndo. Plants crave it!
Well....if you put it that way, it all makes sense.
Yes, but the left hate the circle of life.
“Don’t plants need CO2?”
Then let them build a rocket ship and mine their own from some asteroid.
Idiocracy is here. The leftist elites want to deprive plants of CO2 and now nitrogen. They don’t want us to eat any meat but they’re going to kill all plants.
I saw where everyone is mad at Taylor swift again
I had expected to see Harrison Ford and John Travolta on that list. Irregardless, I don’t know how effective it is making a List of Bad Children and trying to shame them for doing what they can afford to do.
I tend to think a lot of this ‘outrage’ is good old fashioned Class Envy. Karens with too much idle time. I’m not bothered that somebody who works in entertainment and has a ‘ton’ of money can pay to fly when and where they choose.
I really don’t think their frequent flights are going to knock the planet off it’s axis.
It’s when they think they can dictate to others what to do I have a big problem.
I see a pattern and it does not look good.
I know what you mean. It seems like it’s not really the plants they’re aiming to kill.
Exposing hypocrites is always a good thing. You don’t seem to get the real purpose here.
Because these hypocrites dont just do it privately either. They lecture us little people who are “ignorant” compared to them, and we all need them to teach us, yet they don’t seem to do what they think we all should and give up luxuries like wimter heat and summer a/c when just ONEtrip of theirs in their massive planes is us driving our car for 15 years.
Maybe thats why people continue to point out elitist hypocrisy. They dont just say things, they work to take options away from all of us lesser beings. Iv they juxt spewed their idiocy it’d be one thing. But they acfively work to get things enacted to decrease average folks quality of life and actually endanger it in some cases.
Wake up.
(None of which detracts from the fact that celebrities are indeed the biggest hypocrites in the world!)
RE: Etna burp, an accurate claim?
It’s true - libtard celebrities preaching down to me in my humble abode while they run out and buy 40 million dollar mansions by the sea and fly all over kingdom come in their fancy jets. They’re FRAUDS
The issue, and it is a real, valid issue, is people who blather about how we are destroying the planet, we have to have the UN take over the approach to climate change, and all that, yet jet around on these planes.
Attacking those people has nothing to do with class envy. Not in the least.
Nearly every conservative I have ever known does not begrudge wealthy people the ability to do what they want with money they have earned, and that includes owning their own private jet aircraft to do with as they please.
That list is one thing-I don’t know about the likes of Floyd Maywether and Alex Rodriguez, so in the case of their inclusion, that might well be class envy. I don’t recall ever hearing them spout off about people shouldn’t be allowed to own cars or whatever.
But I have heard that pap from the mouths of Taylor Swift, Oprah Winfrey, and Steven Spielberg.
And they should be viciously excoriated and ridiculed for their hypocrisy. The others? Power to them.
We feel much the same about the likes of Liam Neeson, who makes his fortune off handgun violence in his movies, but is a gun-grabber. If he weren’t a gun grabber, conservatives would probably go see his movies in droves. As it is, people like me won’t give him a dime.
Same sentiment. Blatant hypocrisy, not envy of their money.
It’s a meme. I have no idea. I can believe it though; volcanoes tend to make mankind look like gnats!
Uh-oh, USA Today doesn’t like it: https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/factcheck/2022/06/21/fact-check-humans-produce-more-co-2-than-volcanoes-including-mt-etna/7586918001/
