A couple of friends fly for Delta.
Busy, busy, busy...
Don’t
Ever
Leave
The
Airport
huh.. almost like forcing pilots to take the jab or leave wasn’t such a good idea huh?
Ain’t this New Commie Normal great?
Why
Not
?
It’s a problem of the airline’s own making, I’ve got no sympathy.
ROFL never saw that one before.
🙃
“OSHKOSH, Wisconsin - While an estimated 8,000 planes flew in to the Experimental Aircraft Association’s annual AirVenture convention this week in Oshkosh, across the nation it appears that the only infallible way to fly somewhere is to be your own pilot.”
Been to that many times as a kid - my Grandpa never flew, but he was a nut for airplanes.
Took my boys there when they were young. There are always a few big-name celebrities hanging around. The kids got to meet John Travolta, which was pretty cool for them. He’s a pilot and airplane collector. (He really was a looker back in the day!)
The industry consolidated. Now there is no slack in the system.
Earlier, this month I posted about a relative and his wife flying back from Seattle to Sacramento.
The plane took off on time, landed 22 minutes early in Sac and rolled right up to the gate with no waits. In less than 10 minutes, they were in their vehicle on the way back home.
We watched their flight image on a computer and saw two other simulated planes flying in different directions. Normally, that looks channel looked like air attack on the various airports.
This past week another relative flew from the bay area to Dallas and got on a non stop to Philly. The flight to Dallas was ahead of time and landing in Philly was ahead of time.
At Philly, she had her luggage and was in a rental car before the scheduled ETA of her flight.
The pilot said that was good news for the passengers on those flight, and bad news for those, who had other flights cancelled due to no pilots and/or flight crews.
I will walk or swim before I ever fly Delta again.
They recently opened a new section to park jumbo jets at Victorville Airport, they have a few hundred there now, they already shortened the runway to park them. There aren’t any pilots to fly them.
I flew Delta home to Michigan from San Diego Thursday. No problems. FYI.
not a single one of these “pilot shortage” articles ever mentions the number of pilots lost due to the insane vaccine mandates ...
There is more useful information on top of a newspaper after puppy training then there is in the newspaper before the puppy did its business.
;-)
Fired Canadian pilot says he has ‘direct’ proof of COVID vax-related injuries happening among peers
One example is a pilot who took the ‘shots under coercion to keep his job’ and now ‘he’s the unlucky person with adverse events, where a cardiac event could cause him to not fly anymore.’
Valid reasons, excuses, it can be hard to figure out. One thing seems certain. The pilot shortage would be less if non-inoculated pilots were allowed to fly. The same reasoning applies to air traffic controllers and their mission.
Both the inoculated and the non-inoculated can transmit the WuFlu. No symptoms, no fever, good to go, IMO.
