I am sure most people own pit bulls because they feel empowered by a big muscular animal that has a bad rep that intimidates people. They think they are better then everyone else because they have "tamed" a known fighting breed. But who ever admits they own the dog that killed someone " was a known vicious animal". ?

There are no good reasons for pit bulls to be allowed in public. They are private animals no safer than a pet chimpanzee or a tiger. It's ignorant to poo-poo the data about pit bull attacks.
