No more giving anyone “the business.”. RIP Tony.
Who was the cute blonde girl who had the hots for the beat? Saw her on the Rifleman getting in trouble with Mark.
I guess Theodore is the only Cleaver left.
Got me thinking, 50 years from now, will anybody even mourn the folks in today’s TV shows, like this?
Beav’s big brother.
RIP.
we’re all gonna be dead in 9 years according to the grouchy gretas...
I have always been a big fan of Leave it to Beaver. I grew up with it, and I still enjoy watching the show. It was a great show...and Tony Dow was a big part of why. I have followed him on Facebook for years, and he seemed like a real good guy.
It’s sad that so much of a wonderful childhood is disappearing every year.
LITB always takes me back to a different time and place. A better time in this country. The show was just about goodness, morals, virtues, and everything that made America great. I think America could use more folks like Wally, Beaver, Ward and June...and all the friends like Larry Mondello, Whitey Whitney, Gilbert Bates, Lumpy Rutherford, Mrs. Rayburn and Miss Landers, Eddie Haskell, and of course Burt the fireman. We could all use more folks and times like that in our lives.
Rest In Peace Tony. God Bless you and your family.
The only female classmate of Beaver I remember is Judy, the dark-haired, pig-tailed, snob and prig.
A few recurring characters are still alive.
Rusty Stevens- Larry Mondello
Steven Talbot (extreme lefty)- Gilbert Bates
Richard Correll- Richard Rickover
Jeri Well- Judy Hensler
Tiger Fafara- Tooey Brown
“Adam-12” as well.
They like to do these mashup things where a current actor is "talking" to a character of a prior show - like today's Jamie Farr "talking" to Morticia from the old "Addams Family" as if he's Klinger.
Bad timing for MeTV. I wonder if they'll pull that.

I’d have to watching today’s TV shows.
Well, Bluebloods, David McCallum in NCIS, maybe that’s about it.
I loved the episodes with Edgar Buchanan as Uncle Billy, a cigar-chomping teller of tall tales.
Future: Oh man, just saw posted on Big Brother that one of the triple trannies on MTV that married a donkey after she cheated on a sow, was ran over by a flying train! Thank you Mistersy Box Car for all the wonderful memories!
And don't forget fireman Gus, who knew how to do (and repair) just about anything.
“Thank you for your contribution to a a clean wholesome portrayal of American life and a positive influence on my childhood.”
You said it all. Can’t add to that. It’s so sad to think how far we’ve fallen.
I’m kind of surprised that the chubby Larry Mondello is still with us.
Uncle Billy was great too. All the characters were good. I had every one of those type characters in my childhood. That was the magic of the show. We could all relate to the show. Not so much with TV today.
You’re right it was a great show. I bought CDs of the first season and my children enjoyed it too. Tony was a very competetant young actor.
A few of the secondary cast members are alive. Larry is one. Gilbert and Richard also.
