I heard yesterday that Elon will in fact purchase twitter......I hope it goes through and he disinfects that app top to bottom.

Yep, Elon is just negotiating, there is always a lot of back and forth before the deal is finalized.

I strongly suspect his pulling away from the deal was a tactical means of engineering a price drop. Good for him.
