County police said the car struck a tree around 2:08 a.m. Sunday on Broken Land Parkway near Cradlerock Way in the Columbia area.
The driver, Josseline Molina-Rivas, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 36-year-old male passenger was taken to Shock Trauma, where he remains in serious condition, police said. Two two are not related and it was unknown why they were out in the car at 2 a.m. or why the girl was driving.
Police said investigators tracked down the registered owner of the car and determined that both the driver and passenger lived in the same apartment with numerous family members and residents.
Police said they believe speed was a factor in the crash. They are also investigating whether either occupant was under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
What was he doing with a 12-year-old he was not related to at 2 AM, much less why was she driving? He should be executed and deported. Even following the laws, he should be in a lot of trouble.
