Floyds Knobs sounds like an episode of of ‘Dr. Pimple Popper’. :))
Congratulations to your g’daughter. Enjoy the ride!!
I have always wanted to go the LLWS in Williamsport. I hope you get to go along and cheer her on. Congratulations and Good Luck!
Little League Softball World Series was always in Greenville, NC. Has it changed?
I believe it still is. I only heard North Carolina, not sure what city.
Good Luck!
You go, girls!!
Congrats!
I bet I’m the only one on here that knew that Floyds Knob is in Indiana.
Nope... not the only one, but only those of us who live in SoIn! Floyd county is beautiful! Good luck to the team!
Go Hawkeye girls!
I just Found out something incredible. I grew up on a farm in a very rural area, 3 houses within a mile radius for years.
Anyway a common family in the area were the “T” family. 3-4 grown brother’s families. One lived about 2 miles away, another was our neighbor and the third lived about 2 1/2 miles away (it would be hard to find such sparse conditions today, S Indiana has grown). Last night I got a message from the woman that I knew as a girl at one house and she asked if that was my daughter on the team , I replied yes. HER granddaughter is on the team as well!!!
That is amazing as I moved from the area at 20, and apparently her grown up child also moved as Floyd’s Knobs is 2 counties away. My son and her child both happened to move to the same area and happened to have girls good at softball at the same age.
I haven’t seen her in person in, I guess, in 30 years.
It’s a small world out there!
Man you got that part right—what an exciting ride it was.
Long, long story short. After a bitter Iowa comeback loss in the first round we made our own amazing comeback winning 5 games in a row (with a very satisfying revenge match against Iowa) only to fall in the championship round to undefeated Missouri by a single Run. Great job to all involved.
PS
It both heartens me to see these amazing young women with so much promise for the future of our country then sadly realize how their minds will be assailed by endless leftists propaganda in High schools then especially college, media, government and social media trying to turn them into leftist woke automatons. They have so much intelligence, drive, enthusiasm and intelligence now.
We need to win that battle.
These memories will be with you and the girls for a lifetime, and more importantly, the experience will shape these young girls going into womanhood. Well done to all, from a dad coach who looks back at tournament competition with fond memories!
