and you double the inconvenience by having to charge a battery in addition to filling a fuel tank...
“Yea, so I go around researching every stupid little thing I see in life.”
What was stupid was your post.
“and you double the inconvenience by having to charge a battery in addition to filling a fuel tank...”
Thanks for displaying your ignorance!
Go have a look at the youtube video of the range test a couple of guys out in Colorado did using a GMC 1500 with the 6.2 motor and a Ford Lighting. They got identical toy hauler trailers and set out to see how far they would go on a full tank of gas/charge. The Ford got a whopping 85 miles down the road before they had to pull in and get a charge. The GMC still had a 100 miles + left in the tank. Essentially the Ford is a 60k grocery getter.
“And do not forget the new and improved road taxes added to them by the states. Such a deal”!
And the “miles driven” taxes that will be coming.
Last June during the big heat wave in the PNW I had the displeasure of g3etting stuck on the freeway because of an accident. It took about 2 hours to clear. The outside temperature was about 110. I, along with many others in our large Diesel and gasoline burning vehicles idled comfortably with the AC going. Hilariously there were dozens of Teslas that had to be pushed off the side of the road with dead batteries. You can’t beg or borrow a gas can full of electrons to get a Tesla to the nearest charging station...
thanks for proving your ignorance...
the article states the battery requires a 2 hour plug in charge...
I’m fine with an electric car enthusiast and his efforts to not use fossil fuel if he only charges via solar and wind.
LOL...that’s a great response. I’m surprised the writer didn’t also weave in the smug satisfaction and feeling of superiority he gets from driving his EV.
“Hoax” — are you kidding. It’s HOT out there today! What else could it possibly be besides climate change?
Yes. In addition, especially missing from all libs is any real-world engineering experience or systems life-cycle analytical capability.
And there’s a German report that shows negative efficiency of solar panels over 77 deg. F.
So wind doesn’t work on a calm day or during a severe windstorm. Solar doesn’t work in winter or at not or on a hot sunny day.
Coal burns in any condition, so does natural gas. So does nuclear.

Zeepers have assured me that the Daily Mail has the most accurate news on the planet.
If you are unable to read, there are pictures...
If you are unable to understand the pictures, there is a video with sub titles, but we’d be back to reading.

We’re going backwards, not forward.
No, actual picture on site. Deny it as you will... but it remains.
“the article states the battery requires a 2 hour plug in charge...”
That is NOT what it says!
It says it CAN be charged in two hours,
It is a hybrid. The engine can also charge the battery along with regenerative braking.
Thinking those new electrics are going to be a bitch to re-sell!
Dealer: No we don’t do trade-ins.
