Even better!
I stand humbly.
:)
Go look up the lyrics to “Devils And Dust”.
Seriously, wth?
A friend from Kentucky turned me on to Southern Rock, I favored classic rock, while a friend in college turned me on to soul and R&B. He was on the basketball team, teammated nicknamed him "White Blood".
The two years I was at Spangdahlem AB, afternoons I listened to the British broadcast on Radio Luxembourg. Had a friend across the Mosel River who was in the Air Force, a pretty decent musician himself. The day after John Lennon was shot, I hung out at his apartment for several hours, mourning and reminiscing. His German wife didn't get it.
Attended two concerts in Frankfurt: Elton John and Billy Joel. BTW, I never played Van Halen. I was more into the Doobie Brothers and Robert Palmer.
Approved. :-)
ELP opened for Jethro Tull on one of concerts I went to.
Procul Harum on another and I can’t recall the third openers.
All at Merriwether Post Pavilion.

Good to know inflation isn’t so bad that Americans stopped throwing their money away on musical one-night stands.
That must have been wonderful.
I saw The Broadsword And The Beast, Roots to Branches and Catfish Rising tours.
B&TB was absolutely the best of the three.
I would have loved to see the Stormwatch tour but they did a lot of Stormwatch songs in the B&TB.
I hate that I missed The Codpiece Era.
:D
I am SO jealous.
Love that band.
Also saw ELP there, Brain Salad Surgery days. Great concert.
My favorite concert, prior to 2019's Crossroads Guitar Festival was Spyrogyra in El Paso. Due to a change in venue, my front row, balcony seats were converted to THE front row. It wasn't until years later, my wife said she hated it...lol.
I wish we had a little dark corner where we could sit and pick apart every minutiae of Tull.
:)
/”A” is one of my favorite albums
U2 gave away one of their albums via download, once, and I got exactly what I paid for it.
Ian is a master of the backhanded compliment.
I secretly love funk and have lots of it on my iPods.
Another weird confession, I once paid the obscene entry fee to Gettysburg Bike Week just to see WAR.
I was not disappointed.
/used to have a Harley Low Rider
;D
Summer of 79, I was TDY to a German anti-aircraft range near Kiel. I began a relationship with a German waitress, right out of Warren Zevon's "Lawyers, Guns & Money". Thankfully, she wasn't with the Russians.
I was the beneficiary of having a friend whose cousin was a ticket taker at the Garden. We would get two tickets and would walk a friend to the ticket taker. Would say, “Cousin sent me” hand the guy 5 bucks and go all the way to the blue seats so no one would check our tickets.
Then the person would take back the two tickets and walk someone else in. We did this for pretty much the years of 73 through 78. I saw Zeppelin, The Stones, The Who, Fleetwood Mac, Tull, Pink Floyd, Rod Steward, Bad Company, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Kiss, Aerosmith, Boston and many others this way.
The highlight of my concert attending career had to be Zeppelin doing their Physical Graffiti tour. I also saw the Presence tour and saw Zep a total of six times. The Animals tour from Pink Floyd was nothing short of spectacular. I liked it better than The Wall.
Pay to see some anti-American liberal? NO thanks.
Doobie Brothers are touring now with both Tom Johnston and Michael McDonald, and they sound great.
LOL! Veruca Salt Didn’t she even sing a song in that movie called “I want it now”??
Babies, you were born to whine.
Fleetwood crap is another I cannot stand, Stevie Nicks with her pretentious Wizard of Oz coroner munchkin voice. "As coooorrroner I must aver - I thoroughly examined her. And she's not only merely dead, she's really most sincerely dead"
