Yeah, the 10/22 is very specifically a .22LR design. There have been some modified magazines from the custom shops like Volquartsen, which make the CB Longs load more reliably - but it's an expensive project to get it sorted out.
I love using the CCI CB Longs in my Marlin 39 - all you hear is the hammer drop, followed by the meaty thump of the bullet connecting with the target. I tried the CB Caps first (same ballistics as the CB Longs, just made on a Short case), but the 39 didn't feed them reliably. I guess even the Short-Long-Long Rifle combo designs have limitations.

I have shot the Super Colibris in it. While they do not cycle the action, they feed very reliably if you manually cycle the action.
With a suppressor attached, they are BB gun quiet out of the pistol.
They have good accuracy out to 10 yards, enough for small pests.

...all you hear is the hammer drop, followed by the meaty thump of the bullet connecting with the target.. Sometimes a center-mass hit on a raccoon has resulted in them going about 60 yards away, and going into the most insane screaming death throes.
