Most likely voters say it is “absolutely” necessary for a candidate to share their views on a variety of issues — including guns and abortion — in order to have their support, an Echelon Insights survey released this week found.
The survey asked respondents, “When you are deciding how to vote, how important is it that a candidate share your views on each of the following issues?”
The survey listed twelve specific topics, including education policy, climate change, abortion, immigration, and guns.
Most voters said it is “absolutely” necessary that a candidate shares their views on topics such as guns (62 percent) and abortion (54 percent). Sixty percent said it is “absolutely” necessary that a candidate shares a voter’s view on healthcare, and 56 percent said the same of taxes. Another 56 percent said the same of national security and the military, 54 percent said the same of government spending, and 51 percent said the same of immigration policy.
Just 37 percent of voters said it is absolutely necessary for a candidate to share their views on same-sex marriage, and 40 percent said the same of foreign policy and climate change.
However, nearly three-quarters believe a candidate needs to focus on economic issues, while just one in five say the same of social issues. Seventy percent, overall, said the economic situation under President Biden’s leadership is getting worse, and 58 percent said they are feeling at least somewhat less secure in their finances than they were one year ago.

Sure they do. One big lie.
I have watched some police training. They do shoot at 50 yds. the high score ring might be about 6 in wide by 10 in high.
Bullseye 50-yard 8 ring (the black) is 8-9 inches diameter. Those good shooters can keep their shots in there, slow fire.
25-yard black is 5-6 inches, 5 shots in 20 or 10 seconds.
Good shooters can keep them in the black.
What he did was skillful, but possible with practice.
But the paper versus person stress factor could be hard. If he knew he was practiced, and then just went on his training, I can see it.
I have not seen a definitive measurement of the range.
That said, I have known (and know) a lot of people who could do this fairly easily.
An ordinary Glock is plenty accurate enough (2.5 inches at 25 yards, 4 inches at 40 yards). He supposedly was shooting supported from a pillar.
In my prime, I could hit a 16 inch gong at 100 yards, one handed, 9 out of 10 times, but a little slower, with my Colt Woodsman.
I am not sure of the percentages. It is much better than most police can do.
But for someone who consistently trains, it is very doable.
It is well below what is necessary for university level competition on the National Match course.
Who is Shannon?
a 22-year old - a baby
illegally - against store policy but not against the law
loaded gun - unloaded is better? still a EEKgun
a mall - a place of peace and safety
kills - killing is bad
mass shooter - a Boogie man everyone run
AR-15 - Trumps everything, 100 dead from just seeing an AR-15!
already killed and wounded - that 22 yo baby was too late
not endorse 2A - But Shannon’s 1A lets her say this
I credit his grandfather.
Drilling him so that it came to him automatically under fire. You would expect this of a military man. Not some young kid working at the local pizza store - which is what is listed on his facebook page.
I expect his grandfather had some kind of training.
Had the shooter not stayed in the bathroom for an hour it would have been mass murder because Hero might not have been there.
Echelon Insights are the pollsters who claimed KAMALA could beat Trump or DeSantis. No. Just no.
My cousin is a Democrat. Said he had a gun hidden in every room, which surprise me in the amount, not that he owned a few.
What stunned me he was a big Obama supporter.
Go figure.
Yes, bullseye competition I can do quite well with 22LR, with 9, either a Sig P320 Legion X5 or an HK VP9 or VP40, I can do 6-8 inches two-handed from 25 yards, but doubt I’d keep that with all of the adrenalin and such of the moment. Braced on a column would help but still, it is very impressive, especially for a 22 year hold with unknown practice history.
He could have been very practice.
When police were using revolvers the Precision Pistol Competition Had a 50 yard stage.
The Tactical Revolver Course had a 50 yard stage.
The best shooters shot perfect scores.
Getting solid hits at 40 yards isn’t that hard.
If he had a dot sight even easier.
