@RepThomasMassie
The grid isn’t ready for Biden’s electric car policy. They’re relying on political science, not engineering.

McConnell’s replacement as Senator from KY.
Rand / Massie for KY senators!
I think we can all agree on that!
One day perhaps
Texas has restrictions on charging electric car batteries during peak A/C loads.
I’d donate to that campaign, and I don’t even live in KY. But I do have family and business interests there.
I am a big fan of EV’s and the technology. But this is so true. EV’s are only as good as the grid that provides the energy. That means we need fossil fuels, nuclear, coal as well as so called renewable sources.
He does remind me Hank Reardon.
Anyone ever see any results for collision tests on EV’s vs conventional cars. I would imagine that front end collisions would be much worse without that engine block. And the way gas cars are designed the engine will rarely be pushed into a passenger. And I would think that with those lithium battery packs a Pinto is looking pretty good for a rear end collision.
Electric cars might be an option for travel within city limits. They should not be compulsory or subsidized by govt.
Outside city limits, retain total freedom to run gas and diesel.
I just saw a video where they did a head to head tow contest between a Ford electric pickup and a Chevy gas pickup. Ford went 85 miles and the Chevy had over a two hundred mile range. The Ford had to turn around when they found they would be unable to make their next charge station.

If the motive was really about saving the Earth, the transition would have been to hybrids that do Not require charging externally. I would be happy to double the !mileage on my 2017 SUV
They know the grid can’t sustain electric cars. That’s part of the plan. They don’t want us to travel anywhere, we’re easier to control if we’re hunkered down.
I tow frequently for my job. If it was an EV truck I wouldn’t have my job.
