Am willing to bet there is no idea where the BANG initially went BANG in the universe. All distances are distances only and age is a guess (imho). No method exists to prove one is right or wrong ….. only theory

I think measurements are relative, so we can tell what is moving, in which direction, and how they are relative to items closer (in front of) other items.

There are also lengths of waves, Doppler issues, and gravitational metrics that can be used to get pretty decent assessments of distance.

So….there is a bit more science involved than wild assed guesses.

I think I read somewhere long ago that the location of the BB was in the direction of Sagittarius.....IIRC...............
