BUENA PARK, Calif. (CNS) -- In the aftermath of a brawl among teenagers over the weekend that prompted the park to close early, Knott's Berry Farm has announced a "chaperone policy" that will require all guests aged 17 or under to be accompanied by a 21-or-older chaperone throughout their visit to the park on Fridays and Saturdays.
Any teens found unaccompanied in the park on Fridays or Saturdays "will be subject to ejection" under the policy, which will take effect Friday.

Seriously, what is with the “dis” culture that has been growing in that community? We going to fight no matter what, no matter where, no matter how stupid it makes us look? No self control, no control of any kind.
This is what is really dividing the country, because sane people don’t want to be anywhere near that.

What makes them think the 21 or older “ folks” will be any better?
As a kid in middle and high school (70’s), I recall going to Six Flag over GA with friends often. Drivers license was 16 years of age so it only took an older brother or sister to get a group of 14 to 15 year olds to the park. And you wanted to be at the park with your friends, girl friend, whatever. Not with mom or dad. At a younger age parents would be ok, but not as a teen.
How to stop brawls? Only way is to stop coddling young gangsters and start putting criminals behind bars again.
Disney didn't outprice the rioters at DW!
btw, when is Disney scheduling a "white pride" or a " Christian family day"?

Dindus gonna dindu.
This is why we can’t have nice things anymore.
it was the company picnic and also it was hs senior day and I was with my very young son- 7-8 y.o. and a huge crowd of ferals came barreling at the roller coaster line we were in.
They ALL pushed past everyone, jumped the barriers and went almost to the front. No one said a word. My son grabbed me and said" I don't want to be here, let's go".
Must have been the whole track team. I couldn't fight 15-20 super fit teens. But I could have busted a few heads except for my son's safety. Never went back. Never.
Shhhhh....we must not speak of the elephant in America’s living room.
They treated Knots Berry Farm like a Chucky Cheese. Making general mayhem.

Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ used to.
Late 70s (only time I ever visited a theme park) they had uniformed security (NJ State Troopers?) with HUGE pistols...might have been .357 Mags.
Didn't see a lick of trouble there.
Yes. It’s looking like Knotts is the only place in SoCal that respects law and order and immediately implements a solid plan to prevent thug behavior.
I visited Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland several times in the early 80s. I preferred Knott’s Berry Farm.
One time I was at a gathering and some people said they had been at Disneyland recently, and some kids had shoved ahead of them in line. Everyone was appalled, told the people that they should have reported the incident, the kids should have been kicked out of the park, etc. Then the people said, "Well, the kids who shoved ahead of us were black." A few seconds of silence. Then everyone said, "Oh. Well, yeah, that's different. You did the right thing. If you had reported them, they might've waited for you outside, they might've been gang members, you could've gotten hurt, yeah, better you didn't report it." That pretty much says it all. When "certain people" are not held to the same standards, this stuff never ends.
So high school teachers could take their student boy friends ?
As teens in the late 50s we had an expression to explain that type of behavior..."Ain't got no home trainin'."
You’ve hit upon yet another problem. A teacher shows up, chaperoning 20 kids. The group is let in. Then some over-21 thug shows up, also “chaperoning” 20 kids. Knott’s had better let them in, too. Otherwise, it’s discrimination lawsuit time.
