BUENA PARK, Calif. (CNS) -- In the aftermath of a brawl among teenagers over the weekend that prompted the park to close early, Knott's Berry Farm has announced a "chaperone policy" that will require all guests aged 17 or under to be accompanied by a 21-or-older chaperone throughout their visit to the park on Fridays and Saturdays.
Any teens found unaccompanied in the park on Fridays or Saturdays "will be subject to ejection" under the policy, which will take effect Friday.

If only there was a common denominator...
“teens”
That’s racist.
Check yo guns wid de chaperone.
Knives too
Why so little information about these teens ? LOL
Well, that just killed the family park business. What kid, from 6th grade to high school, wants to be tied to a parent or adult guardian at an amusement park?
Too bad a few juveniles mess things up for the rest.
yutes doing what yutes do ...
“Why so little information about these teens ? LOL”
Little info? Video tells all.
I know I needn’t ask, but just have to say it anyway.
Because we all know those in their 20s likely won’t start trouble. 😲😂
KBF is still a great family fun park. They haven’t bowed to the woke crowd. I was there about a month ago with lots of family. The more I go the more I like it.
They still have old fashioned western themed rides and a western themed town with some really great roller coasters. It’s like stepping back into the 1900s.
“a few juveniles”
Not just “a few juveniles”.
Disneyland outprices the teen thugs. Part of the outrageous entry fee is to make it too costly for rioters
?
How are kids from 6th geade to driving age supposed to get there. It also doesn’t say you have to be joined at the hip
Do You have a better udea on how to stop the brawls
It was primarily the usual suspects. A couple white kids in there, but they ran away, lol.
Do they still have good-guy vs bad guy shoot-outs (by actors) in the western town? I remember those shows back in the 60s.
Seems reasonable response. Bet they didn’t say parent as that would be a challenge for many, probably deemed racist.
> all guests aged 17 or under to be accompanied by a 21-or-older chaperone <
Good try, not. Suppose one “chaperone” shows up with 10 teens? Or 20 teens? Whatcha gonna do then, Knott’s Berry Farm? Make more rules?
In all seriousness, Knott’s Berry Farm is a tough position. The only thing that might work would be to hire a large number of off-duty cops. That would of course be expensive. But it’s their only option.
