I was reading someone that said when you are older you can bend over to pick strawberries and break your hip just from bending over. That terrifies me
my father fell and broke his hip. After the operation to fix it, he died of a heart-attack. We think it was heart problems that caused him to fall/collapse in the first place.
Well, no doubt he will get THE BEST care possible, something not granted to the rest of us unwashed.
But even in spite of that, the odds appear to be against him. By the time a second surgery is needed, things are already not going well.
True, and many of them die within 18 months also.
