Do they mean the teacher was trying to get the girl put up for adoption? Or that the girl was already adopted and the teacher wanted to get the authorities to invalidate it?

According to court documents, police claim that Shetterly escorted the girl to sex stores and purchased alcohol for her. Additionally, they claim that Shetterly instructed the child to fabricate allegations of parental abuse in order to get the girl’s adoption and “scripted” communications to that effect for the girl to submit to authorities.
