Bears do not usually seek out humans to eat.”
That is because there are few humans in Kamchatka.

Bears are Marxist?
“Eat the rich!”
To: WeaslesRippedMyFlesh
At least they had passed before being eaten.
To: WeaslesRippedMyFlesh
Well, at least they were dead before the bears got them. There was a story a couple of years ago about a father & daughter out walking in Russia when they were attacked. The daughter was on the phone to her mother as she was getting ripped apart. Awful!

“...eaten by *****wild***** bears...”
__________
Seems as if the modifier “wild” is superfluous in this case, but who knows what is going on in the heads of young editors these days.

Their families should freeze the credit card accounts of the deceased - bears really are opportunistic.

Life can be summed up as follows...
Some days you get the bear, and some days the bear gets you.

With the exception of yesterday and today, we’ve been visited by a cinnamon black bear yearling every day for the past 60 days or so. Always love seeing him on our deck and in our backyard state park, but I’m weary of eventually becoming a future Timothy Treadwell.

I’ve been there, on the Zhupanova river, within sight of the volcano. Those bears are gigantic and all over the place. Our guides carried rifles with birdshot for scaring and slugs in case of what they referred to as a “big problem”.
