It became clear during Covid that the Western countries are run by oligarchs accountable to no-one.

We now know that “democracy” and “rule of law” is a sick joke—in every Western country.

Nowadays maybe the form of government matters less than whether the power holders hate their people's guts.

One of the issues with military dictatorships (Latin American style) is you never knew whether you would get one that cared about the people or one that hated them.

It looks like we are going third world—and will have those types of third world problems.
