Is the economy that bad?
You can’t get some paper sleeves and load you own rolls to transact at your bank?
Be careful with change machines.
You could change yourself into something that doesn’t have the physical ability or the mental ability to use the machine to change back.
Whenever I move, (every 2-4 years) the change gets cashed in. It was about $250 this time.
Almost every time we’ve gone to our local one, it has said ‘out of order’. People just don’t clear them out or fix them.
How about “A fool and his money are soon parted.” Right now they’re charging 11.9%, though you can take repayment in the form of a gift card at no charge
It could be that they don’t service the machine every day. Maybe once a week?
It could also be that someone else is cashing in a lot of change and is just beating you to the machine every day.
Ask the store when the machine will be serviced.
Why the need for such a machine?
Can’t one simply self identify as something else?
Is the economy that bad?
I'd say that is the first thought that comes to mind - people digging loose change out of the sofa.
Of course, it could also be that the company that maintains the machines is understaffed, like every other company seems to be. I've been trying to get people out to my office to service the ice machine and re-stock the break room vending machines with fresh snacks and drinks - it's like pulling teeth to even get a response text.
No quarter given, no quarter expected.
Yes. Pt hints cost too much.
Everything way up because of The Steal.
I get rolls of quarters at my local bank, sometimes 4 rolls of 20. No big deal.
I was thinking more along the lines of...
The first time I put my money in I get no change. The guy said the change machine was empty and laughed at me. So I busted up the joint and gave the change machine guy a warning with my right hook.
The second time the change machine was full.
My story is way better...
You must have used the machine after I dumped $50 of pennies into it.
And was the third time, that my time machine was changed...
I’ve never used one of these machines, but the one at my credit union has a much lower fee than the ones I see at grocery stores.
So if all these machines are full, why is there a national coin shortage?
What an exciting life you lead.
You really have to WANT to change.
My Friend’s son services those machines and he told me he would never trust one of them to count his money. He said they often undercount due to jams and foriegn objects—some pretty disgusting. He also told us that he typically finds hundreds of coins in the bottom of the machines which dropped out of the handler which likely were not counted. Manual coin sorters are very inexpensive, even automatic ones go for as low as $175.
