How would have Rome behaved with tanks and aircraft? Would it really have been all that different than blitzkrieg?
Perhaps we should ask the people who lived in Romania before Rome decided it would be a good place, a Lebensraum, to put all its retired military, after those pesky natives were removed?
IOW, the same Nazi comparison can be applied to every country or city-state that ever sent an army anywhere.
