Here are some of mine from 2020. I was inundated with just 3 plants. This year I have 4 and 2 of them are doubles. This pic is from a day's picking. My problem, I should have let a few mature longer. Yes they will turn red but I always ate them before, thinking the seeds would be fine. But none of the seed germinated in 2021. This year I will for sure let some go. It's almost impossible to find shishito pepper plants in west Michigan. I wound up ordering 2 from Bonnie (grower) online. They were pricey but I was at my wits end. A short trip for me. Anyway when their website says 1 plant they ship 2 so I got a total of 4 beautiful plants and 2 of them were doubles in one pot. Bonus! Enjoy your peppers. 0-02-01-0f1230bdb54ecb2789b143b1ec8d958525767b7e4d8ae705e88bd3634bae20c2-eeec27d0-2

Found a few websites with reference to size at harvest but they range from 2-4 inches and 2-5 inches. I figure with my mini plant, the peppers will be on the smaller end of the scale. Seems like I remember reading that the bottom end should fill out and that after that, they can be harvested. Bottom end of mine is pointy.

Having never had shisitos, I don’t know if I want them green or red but most pics I find are green ones so I guess that’s when most people harvest them. I might wait until I get one red one and pick it along with a green one and try them. One article says if you pick them when green, it will encourage the plant to grow more peppers.

They’re pretty easy to start from seed.

Also got Kalugeritsa and Pumpkin Spice Jalapeno that are just starting to form fruits.

Lack of patience got the better of me. I picked a pepper, fried it in oil and put some Kosher salt on it. Yum
